Step Ahead Academy offers customised wellness programmes based on our client’s needs.
Our offerings are as follows:
Voluntary psycho-social employee wellness – employees are assisted to deal with work-related problems and or personal problems. We offer both short-term and long-term psycho – social counselling services in the following areas:
Trauma/Violence Management
Stress/Depression
Drug/Alcohol
Grief/Loss
Family/Marital/Parenting/Relationship §
Anger/Anxiety
Coaching
Career assessment, and any other related fields.
These services can be offered at the employer’s premises or offsite where is convenient for the employee. Face to face and or telephonic services are also available. Follow up sessions and referrals are also available.
Wellness Days – Employees are assisted to monitor and evaluate their health status. Comprehensive health screenings: glucose levels, body mass index, blood pressure, waist circumference, HIV counselling and testing and cholesterol are also offered.
Awareness Training Programmes – We offer awareness trainings to HR departments within various organisations on how to identify and assist employees with depression, substance abuse, stress, anger, and other personal problems.
Psychometric Assessments – Management is assisted with career assessments to match the employees to the proposed occupations, and guidance on career progression.
HIV and AIDS Workplace Management - We offer services on HIV and AIDS workplace management. This includes developing supportive and counselling services for employees living with HIV and AIDS.
Risk Management Services - Assessment of the psycho-social well-being of employees who work in risky work environment. This includes psychological assessments to assess their fitness in performing certain duties at work.
School assessments - We provide services that include assessment of learners’ intelligence, school readiness, learning difficulties, subject choice and remedial services
